In Book 5 in the series The World of Murder, Detectives O’Roarke and Garcia have a cold case dumped on their desk. Despite their objections that they ‘don’t do cold cases’ their Commander tells them that they do now since the new Mayor has asked for them…. Three years earlier the mayor’s brother-in-law was murdered and the case was never solved. The cold case plunges our murder cops into the world of television and competitive cooking shows and their pick of suspects three years cold.
‘The Art of Murder’: Monty is a struggling, unknown artist, living in a loft in Soho. From his third floor walk up, he watches his beautiful neighbor as she comes and goes. Too shy and reclusive to ask her out, he paints her again and again. Suddenly the police are at his door. His goddess, his dream woman is dead and the police like him for the crime.
Detectives O’Roarke and Garcia sift through the forensics, motives and physical evidence and at first glance it seems that all the evidence points to the strange artist who is obsessed with the beautiful actress. As the detective immerses themselves in her life, it turns out that she has more than one secret.
Contest limited to 5 winners of each book and ends November 30th.
